1/4 inch birch plywood

On my 100 watt machine, I use 18 mm/sec at 35%. Your results may vary based on your wattage. Also, I keep min power == max power, some don’t like that, but that’s what I use.

As others have said, exterior ply is real pain to cut. I often use 5mm (5.3mm) and to guarantee that on every piece I use the cut goes all the way through each time I have to use 350mm/min (23mm/sec) at 80% (18mA) on 50W CO2. Other plywood, and often just other parts of the exterior ply, I can easily cut at double that speed.

Hope that helps

so I still cant seem to get it to cut through. when I send the job on lightburn, and look at the control panel, it reads 99 max power, and 20 min power, but in lightburn I set it to, 100 and 100. Is this normal?

you should never use 100% power (unless your machine has been calibrated to set the true max power to something less than 100%).

Set your min and max power to 85% and see what your laser console says.
