See images below. For boxes where all the lines should have identical settings some boxes have only one or three lines engraved when the entire box should be engraved with lines 0.3mm apart. What am I doing wrong?
Looks like your delays could be way off. Post your Laser on/off TC’s, End TC, Polygon TC, and Jump Setting Defaults.
I spent a bunch of time calibrating the timing and now my material test grids are mostly orderly lines of the correct length, but I’m still having similar issues in some cases. See below.
See the top row consistently shows a weird pattern of 1-3 lines inscribing a little lower each time before starting from the top again. Also the text is weirdly inconsistent.
For the pattern below I made a bunch of custom boxes. Each box should be filled with consistently spaced lines that get wider from box to box. As you can see many of the lines just straight up disappeared even though all the boxes have the same settings.
Anyone? Would appreciate some ideas on what this could be.
If your delays are all the same, I’d be suspect if it’s correct. I’ve seen a number of these and have never seen one that all of them are the same.
Could happen, I guess.
Take the values of the edit text layer in materials test and vary around those values and see if you more more tangible results we can work with.
Those values have pretty consistent marking and should give us better overall results.
Another hunch: one of the galvo motors might have a defect. What happens when you fill a square around the size of the whole test grid in the same position on the physical workspace. Also, what model exactly do you have?
The other possibility is it could be intermittently loosing comms. Have you tried with a different USB cable? Do you have another computer entirely to test with, to eliminate the possibility of USB chipset weirdness?
