2.1.x.x USB "Disconnect", but 2.0.0.5 is Fine

2.0.0.5 works fine. But any of the 2.1 versions do not. Using 2.1.x (2.0.02, 2.1.01, 2.1.00), there is an error message immediately after firing the laser claiming that USB disconnected and the laser turns off and the head stops moving. After this message pops up I can still control the machine with the laptop–which is connected via USB–so clearly USB is not disconnected. Reverting to 2.0.0.5 solves the problem.

I’d rather use the newer versions, so what can I do?

Using WeCreat Vision 40w. Windows 11 v. 25H2 on an HP Pavilion laptop, connected via OEM USB cable.
