I’m trying to open an Ai (2025) file with LightBurn Version 1.7.07. After selecting open file nothing shows on my screen. Is this incompatibility between the versions or something else.

Please do not “open” ai-files; please try to import (Ctrl-i) instead
Importing will not show up either.
Sometimes imported desings are out of the workspace, try zooming to 10 % …
Otherwise please upload the file, i will have a lock at it …
Therefore you probably must rename the file extension to txt

It is nothing more than an Arial font text in the file. Zooming in or out shows nothing. Although it clearly shows ai in the list of viable file extensions it is not working. I can’t share this file on this forum, I’ll have to contact LightBurn directly.

That’s why you don’t see anything. Fonts don’t import from ai files. The font must be converted to an outline first.
Why not just build it in Lightburn? Then you have the option to work with it as a font or convert it to a vector path.
