2watt 1064nm infared conversion

Here is a pic of the conversion being fed by the air assist as the laser draws less then the compressor that came with it and while I’m engraving I don’t run the compressor just the fume extractor which I just converted over 12 volts so the power remote lid and the fume extractor use the same power source and I didn’t attach the fume extractor just installed a stop block that it rests against.

here is the ugly arse plexiglass enclosure i also moved all the controller outside the unit as well so I can get to it without opening the enclosure… now to figure out if I want to hardwire a switch into the access to pause the print and stop the fume fan

I just did this test but with the infrared because I haven’t found one for infrared yet

I tried the material test generator in LightBurn with the default diode engrave test and this is what it produced which is pretty good unless I’m not understanding it lol

I added this interface so I can see what power it is while it’s working. You can run 12 or 24v. You can manually set it at a setting, test fire or run it active off of ttl. Pretty handy little kit….
