Yes, if both machines are synchronized (easy using Bundles), then a Lightburn .lbrn2 file created on one will run the same on the other.

Yes, you can transfer the mage file from one to the other. I have done this many times. The tool settings are saved in the file under Project Tools.
thanks bperk will have to figure out how thats done i was hoping the 2 macs and MM would somehow be syncronised .apreciate ypur help
im millmage , and yes thats exactly what i wont but wont happen taken me all morning to download another mm on my 2nd computer and attach the licence , but buggered if i can send a project and operations together with tool selection etc, shouldnt be this hard . feel like not using MM as a controler/
help appreciated

A mage file will have all the operations and tool parameters it needs embedded in it (**Project Tools**) at the time it is saved, so in essence that’s all you need, however;
-To create a mage file, you will need your device profile, and your tool library present.
-To run a mage file, you need a device profile also - preferably the same one used to create it.
The process of synchronizing a device profile, along with tools library etc from one PC to another is described below:
Once you have a good working setup with your device profile at the main CNC computer, go to ‘Files>Bundle>Export Bundle’ and select all settings and save the (.mmzip) bundle file.
Then at your design PC, use ‘Files>Bundle>Import Bundle’ (or drag and drop that bundle file into MillMage).
(I like to first delete any existing device before importing from the bundle so the bundled one won’t come in as duplicate name with a number appended.)
Now that the design PC has your device set up, you can create and save a .mage project file, transfer it to your CNC PC, and when you open it you should be good to go.
(To make it easier to keep libraries in sync you may eventually find it easier to have them saved to a shared network location - as mentioned here).

still above my pay grade , this is what ive done so far ive added mill mage to a 2nd cnc ,one ill use for the controler of my gemitsu … test the water? its conected to same licence and computer no 1 =design 2= cntroler!
i did a bundle on opening MMon c2 and imported it as mentioned by Mikey!
but im led to believe project settings,includingoperations arnt transfered ? so do i have to do this seperatly , i right click on a project file and it just openes it?..
what your imply is giving me some hope !

If you already used a bundle file to copy settings to MillMage at the PC connected to Genmitsu, that is the background work done.
Now, it’s as simple as transferring and opening any mage project file at PC2 - try it!
When you are saving a mage project from PC1, its probably easiest if you save that project file to a cloud synchronized folder like Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
I prefer Dropbox:
Then at PC2, use File Explorer to navigate to your cloud folder, find and right-click your mage file and ‘Open’ (or just double-click on the mage file).
There are a other ways open the mage file at PC2 including;
-drag and drop the mage file into already open Millmage, or onto your Millmage shortcut
-from Millmage, use File>Open and browse your folders to the mage file and ‘Open’
I think what Pat is wanting is a cloud based software, where when you save the file it goes to the cloud and is available on a drop down in any other instance of the program. I know Cricut software works that way, I think Glowforge does and there are probably others. Millmage and Lightburn do not.
@pat1955 you have to learn how to move files from one computer to another. There is no automatic transfer of files in these programs.
Here are some options for transferring the files. You can save the file on a thumb drive, or portable hard drive and physically take that drive to the other computer and load it. If you have internet access on both computers you could email it to yourself from computer 1 and open it on computer 2. You can save the file on computer 1, upload the saved file to a cloud service like Google Drive or Icloud, then download the file to computer 2 (DO NOT save directly to cloud or load directly from cloud, that often causes file issues). If both computers are on the same physical network you can set up file sharing between the 2, you can set up a Network Addressable Storage device that both have access to (that’s how I work), there may be other options.
Once again, there is no automatic transfer of files between instances of millmage.
thank you all! not being a computer tech, made it alot more dificult . but here’s what ive learnt and tried, just to see what will work and how it will work !
all as part of my cnc journey! what i did was saved the actual .mage file same as the project! on my mac p1 to desktop , then opened p2 -mac and droped the file into millmage there ,it was on desktop on that computer as well. that opened with all the operations to start the job using P2-mac as controler . …
ok needed some cables , so i thought id try the small pc laptop,that is connected /dedicated at the moment to my cnc, and it works as well . that surpised me didnt think i could design on a mac in MM send to P2-pc and open and run with MM .
so that works. files on mac icloud came and worked fine Tim , but storing you advice down the track!
resons for trying all this and not just sticking with gsender is, im thinking of up dating to a bigger cnc so this is all learning , also compatabilty with what ever i get!

- I create files on my iMac and save to iCloud then close the file on that device and open it on the other using finder to locate the file easily. If you leave the file open on device number 1 and edit it on # 2 it can get confusing so that’s why I make sure I close it on one before opening on the other. It may take a few minutes to pull the file from iCloud to the second device but this method works well for me as long as I keep the file open on one device at an time and remember to save after any edits.
yes and this is strange because when i now transfere the project file to my dedicated pc laptop .from my imac it sayss when opening that filesor ,cant remember exactly , but saying cut files wont open …But it does and works fine ??? above my paygrade ,im only up to sweeping floor’s

Both up to date one Mac version and other windows ! It’s working at the moment it’s just old mate said it wouldn’t transfere the cut file ! Well it says it won’t , but then it does… FYI
Thanks Kathy, but I’m going from a MM ON MAC 1 computer for cad cam ! Then saving the project files with all the operations cut files and sending and opening on a pc , will end up being another Mac wich has MM DOWNLOADED ! That way I can use the file and pick which operation I want to use and when!!!
