My New RDC6445G (EC) controller is installed and working , But when I power off and then power on (minutes hours or days later) the settings revert back to default settings ie. x = 10000 mm / y = 10000 mm / z = 3000 mm .
I rewrite my actual settings for my machine 700 mm x 500 mm back via RDWORKS same issue .
I try with LightBurn write settings for 700 mm x 500 mm same issue ?
Having re-read this… Let me ask if you are reading the Machine Settings and the Ruida is not maintaining them when a reset occurs…and you did write them back to the controller?
If this is the case, forget the rest of this… and let me know.
This was my previous reply, but I wanted to clarify the above…
It’s not homing properly. The Ruida will indicate these values if it fails to home on a boot or reset.
Are these axes home operation enabled in the Ruida controller?
If you read the controller and the numbers have changed for the work size within the controller after a boot, then I’d wonder about the controller.
But the values you see in the console tell me it failed to home.
That or I’ve read something else as to what you are saying.
I Have read the controller and then wrote my machine settings to the controller
my actual settings for my machine 700 mm x 500 mm then power off laser then power on laser and the settings revert back to x=10000mm y=10000mm z=3000mm ,settings are not retained to what I write to the controller.
same issue ?
If you write it to the controller and read it back, before a reset are the values correct? Can you confirm the values are being written to the Ruida memory?
Upon power on boot, it reverts to these default values?
Did you change the Z entry? You mention it changed…
If that’s the case, I’d think your controller has an issue… I would check the other values to see if they are changing also.
Thank You Very Much ,
it is the controller ,memory failure.
I Put the 6442G-B (EC) back in and it works perfectly.
Homes to programmed settings and stays programmed when powered on and off and on again after 3 hours.
Bummer… glad you found the issue, sorry it was the controller…
