Adding a foot pedal trigger

Hi all. i have a jnlink laser running a bjjz card and im wanting to add a foot pedal trigger, can anyone tell me what pins on what plug need to attach it too please.

HI Lucas,

Assuming your machine does not have an aviation socket anywhere marked ā€œFoot pedalā€, does it at least have a ā€˜Startā€™ button at the front of the enclosure? Is it working?

I donā€™t use a foot switch at my machine, but if there was one - Iā€™m pretty sure it would use exactly the same circuit.

when you start do you mean begin marking? if so no, i activated it through lightburn rather than a physical button

i think ive worked it out i did some wire tracing and undid a couple of plugs to see the pin out

Yes, whichever physical button is used to begin marking.

Did your machine have a button to start marking?

Starting from scratch BJJCZ fiber, or LV4, or similar board pin 1 on CON4 to ground will report as I/O port 14 and pin 9 to ground will report as I/O port 15 on the LB I/O ports window, and can be assigned to any of these (Pick 2)

Other boards pin and port assignments vary.
