I am trying to create a z-axis repeat marking system to engrave the top item in a stack and then remove that top item via pusher arm or vacuum lift and move. Haotian has a new system like this that apparently works with Lightburn but from what I have seen so far on here, adding extra axis and controls is not very user friendly with lightburn. Has anyone made anything like this? @Albroswift you seem very knowledgeable with this type of stuff, any thoughts?
I was trying to get repeat marking to retract with X axis, similar to what you are talking about but push a card out from under a stack, laser, push the next one out. Wouldnt need to refocus each time. Put it in the feature suggestion. “Return to zero after each repeat” or something like that. Too specialized to get many votes.
The one extension axis only of the Beijing and LB combo gives us limits, and even with Beijing’s standard board with 2 extensions, LB still only controls one.
Anyway, let us know what you come up with.
Anyway, started a different project so it went on the back burner. New project involves sending start and stop commands through the 2 extra available inputs on the bjjcz. Any one of them can be used to burn whats in the cache, so the CNC will be telling LB/ BJJCZ what to do instead of LB telling the CNC what to do (in simple terms). One challenge is my CNC board outputs continuous “high”, (or low), bjjcz board is looking for a pulse. Think I have that solved though. That approach may work for you as well.
