Adding Fiber Laser Lenses

how do I add a different lens in Lightburn to my Galvo laser and have to proper configuration for the lens? I bought the lens and they said they do not have the cor files for the lenses I bought

Have a look at these:

I create a device for each lens. You need to import the EZCad2 file into the device so all of your settings are correct. After you import the configuration file, you can then load a cor file for that specific lens.

One you jump through these hoops for setting it up, this device profile should load all the needed parts. Don’t forget any libraries you may have for specific lenses.

That’s the thing, I never got the EZCad2 file for the new lenses I bought. Go them off of Aliexpress. So that’s why I am having issues without teh EZCad files. Is there a workaround for that?

thanks. I give it a try.

If you don’t have an original file for your machine/galvo, then set the delays up before you do anything else.

Then you can calibrate the lens.

You would only get the files for the lenses if they came with your machine and were set up in the factory. They are machine/ lens specific. Create a new machine and follow the videos. Lens correction pretty easy. Then use the scale utility (3 little dots) to fine tune. Then check corner to corner and adjust skew if necessary.
Watch the timing/ delay video a couple times through and then with the laser turned on.

ok…got it. Thanks. Now that makes more sense
