Adobe illustator .AI files Error opening/importing

Good afternoon,

We are getting an error when trying to open a .AI file that we created. We get an error that says its unable to open please restart lightburn.

The file is a .AI file which is not supported for upload.

If you add TXT to the end of the filename, you can upload it

The only vector data in the file is the crosshairs. The rest is raster images. Not sure why LB can’t import it. But, I was able to import it into Inkscape, and export a PDF file that LB was able to open.

Yes, we take those vector images and trace them, add an offset and laser cut the images out.

I suspect if you exclude the image data that it would load without fuss into LightBurn.

The only vector data is the 2 crosshairs

I missed that the tracing and offset was done in LightBurn. Remediated by doing so in AI.

These images look like they originate as vector also so if the originals are available then even more straightforward.
