Hi all , my first post / question ,I have just bought a Sculpfun A9 20/40W laser and every thing is working well through Lightburn except the air assist it is on all the time the laser is on and doesn’t matter if it is activated in Cuts and layers or turned off it has no effect on the air pump , The Air Pump came with the kit and plugs in directly to the controls on the laser. Have I missed a setting somewhere or is the set up not right. I have only had the A9 for a couple of weeks and it is all a steep learning curve so any information would be appreciated thanks . You missed something 
The air assist is always running at 10% to protect the lens. Once you turn on the air assist mode in LightBurn, it will switch to 100% power. If you switch it off, it goes back to 10% (for engraving). That’s why you always here the pump once the laser is turned on.
