Align at which object

Hello from Germany.
I have - maybe - a simple question: Is it possible to have a valence of align objects?
Examle: I have a rectangle and a textfield. The rectanlge should stay where it is - the textfield should be aligned vertically and horizontally.
I do not unterstand when which object is fixed and which object is aligned to an other.

Hello.

If I understood your question correctly, then the answer should be quite simple. When selecting the objects, the one you want aligned should always be selected first. The object you want to align to, should be selected last.

EDIT: Just in case I wasn’t clear enough, since english isn’t my first language either, in your example’s case, you would select the text first, then the rectagnle. And now you align it with the appropriate tools.

Adding the what @LasermanSI stated, when using alignment tools I think in my head: “Align THIS (selecting the first object(s)) to THAT (selecting the reference object last)”.

This behavior (last object selected as reference) is consistent with other CAD applications that I’ve used.

This is also covered in our documentation: https://lightburnsoftware.github.io/NewDocs/ArrangementToolbar.html#align-centers

Thanks to @LasermanSI and @Stroonzo and @LightBurn.
