Hi, I have a Creality Falcon Pro 2. And Lightburn version 2.1.04, Asus Vivibook Windows 11. I have done my camera calibration and it came out to 73% , now I have to do the Workspace Alignment but the problem is that I cannot find the pattern to engrave to do the alignment, it does not matter which pattern I choose. I have tried to change the lighting. My camera is stationed in the middle onto of the beam as custom to Creality machines. I did not have any problem with the olde versions but this 2.1.02 and 2.1.03 and 2.1.04 does not work well when it comes to displaying the engrave markers for the alignment of the workspace. Can anybody help?
Cameras try to average the exposure to make a typical scene look reasonable, but laser platforms definitely are not typical scenes. The black surroundings and dark upper 2/3 of the platform force the camera to boost the exposure enough to burn out the bright lower third of the platform. Because the “engraved” markings are kinda gray, they’re too light to show up in the dark section and not dark enough to show up in the light section.
If you can arrange some cardboard / paper around the edges of the platform to cover the black areas and get uniform light across the platform, the camera will be able to set a better exposure and the marks will appear.
I added LED strips around the perimeter of the platform in my machine and it still requires fiddling to balance the lighting for the targets:
