I’m not really sure if this is a hardware or software issue, but it has been going on for a long time. I have a 5 different Lasertree lasers all set up on homemade laser frames, and I am currently using an Annoytools GRBL1.1 control board. The problem that I have is that every setting, speed, power, resolution, is 10 times the actual output. If I set the laser to move 1mm, it moves 10mm. If I set the power to 100, it’s actually 1000.
In the settings it is set to mm/min. I have bought and changed the control board, and I either get the same result, or some control boards are 5 times instead of 10. I have mostly learned to adapt and adjust, but recently I needed to adjust the resolution greater, and since the minimum setting in Lightburn is .01 (which is .1 on my laser) I am not able to set it any lower. I have searched the message boards and forums and have not found anyone else that is having a similar issue. So I’m not sure if it’s a Lightburn issue, or a Lasertree issue or a controller issue (but I am thinking not since it has happened with 3 different brands), or what it is, but I could really use some help here.
Type $$ then press enter in the console window. Copy / paste the output here.
In console type $100=80, $101=80, $102=80. Press enter after each entry then type $$ to verify changes took.
Those settings are steps per mm and those are 10x typical values.
