new to laser engraving and have hit a bump i cannot wrap my head around. the woxcker l2 has a 300 mm x 300 mm engraving capability. when its set to x0 y0 it is accurately there. when i have it go to x300 y300 it accurately goes there along with any point i manually send it to by clicking on the grid showing the available area. now the second i add an object to the grid, it believes the object is out of bounds. if i put an object center, but slightly up and right, it will attempt to engrave in the top right of the mat. been trying to troubleshoot this for hours now
Would you please send a few screenshots of your settings? To me it sounds like a mismatch of the settings of your coordinate system.
How have you set up the machine (machine profile)?, have you chosen the right GRBL version…
There will be any object selected as hidden in the “Cut/Layers” window, and since it is not visible you are not aware that it is positioned outside the work area?
If you open lightburn and draw a simple object within the workspace, does the problem remains?
which settings specifically? im not very good with a computer let alone this software. i have already made several projects and this error just randomly happened the other day.
even after deleting all objects from the cut/layers list, when i add back an object it still gives me the same issue. a box drawn in the lower left of the grid will be attempted to be cut in the upper right part with the laser
We can’t see what’s going on on your computer so please post a screenshot (not a cell phone pic) of your entire Lightburn screen with your project loaded and the Cuts/Layers Panel and Laser Panel visible. Also post a screenshot of the Settings Window (Gears icon) with the Units and Grids tab visible and post a screenshot of the Device Settings Window (Wrench and Screwdriver icon).
