New Lightburn user here. My setup has my laser directly behind my chair facing my computer running Lightburn. This makes it difficult to do things like moving the laser and framing as I have to hurry and whip around to see what’s going on then back.
Is there a mechanism to control these movements on a phone/tablet screen via an app or web connection? I do realize that web cam does exist and I plan to upgrade one of these days.
Perhaps you could do a remote desktop or VNC connection or similar to your computer from the phone/tablet? This would be a little clumsy but maybe better than what you have.
You can’t have multiple connections to the laser from multiple devices and I don’t believe LightBurn has any facility for remote control or an API.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve very familiar with VNC and I’m not sure that that would work on my phone with the zooming around needed to get to those controls but it may come down to trying that.
Understood. I realize that this may not be a function that all users would want but I do hope you guys can see the utility in this. Is this something on the roadmap? API access for things like this would also work fine for my needs as I can cobble something together rather easily with a bit of code.
