AppImage missing camerabin Plugin for GStreamer 1.20

Hi everyone,

first of all: thanks for this great software!

I recently switched over from Windows to Linux (Ubuntu 24) and LightBurn runs great except for the Camera not being recognized. Essentially I have the exact same problem as @marove explained here, except that LightBurn asks for GStreamer 1.20.

I just wanted to ask, if any solutions have been found for issues with the camera and the AppImage distribution format? Since it was stated that it was being worked on and the thread got closed after 30 days. Thank you!

Thank you for the quick answer. That’s a pity - I assume this doesn’t have any priority, but is it planned to be fixed at some point?

On the list, yes.

We are currently working to release LightBurn 2.0 and the initial release of MillMage, our first entry into the CNC space, bringing CAD, CAM, and Control functions together under a single application.
