Assumed resolution of PNG imported

I recently updarted from 1.3xx to 1.5xx on Mac OS.

Previously (unless I am going crazy) Lightburn would honour the pixels per inch or pixels per mm of the PNG file I was importing.

For example, if I had an image of 1000px x 1000px @ 72dpi I could import it and it would be half the physical size in Lightburn than if I imported the same 1000px x 1000px image with a baked in dpi setting of 36dpi.

Is there a setting I am missing to “honour” the dpi setting of the file?

I create shadow boards of tools and I know that (for example) if I photograph an image using my overhead rig (constant lens and distance to object) that 1cm in the real world 30 pixels in the photo. ie 30 pixels/cm

I had previously set this in Photoshop to images and brought into LB.

Its now like they are getting resize to whatever 72dpi equates to.

If this is the case, is there a setting in LB to define the DPI of imported image files?

TIA

There are options in File Settings to change DPI, but for SVG.
Try Import instead of copy/paste.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately (atleast on Mac OS) import behaves the same as drag and drop and copy and paste - it assumes 72dpi regardless.

Will workaround it but it would be a great thing to have support for.

Thanks again

Michael
