i have a problem with new a24 pro laser . it will connect and frame okay but when i run the file it works for about 30 seconds and then shuts down laser and locks up, i cannot do anything else until i shut down lightburn and the laser and when i try again exactly the same problem happens
the laser works perfectly on its plug in screen, and the lightburn runs my atomstack a20 pro perfectly, i am totally baffled by this
hello, thank you for your reply, yes i have double checked it is not going out of bounds, whatever i try lightburn will only engrave for less than a minute and then locks up mid line, the display just shows busy and will not clear until i reset computer and laser , if i save gcode for same file from lightburn onto the memory stick it will perform perfectly through the atomstack plug in screen, i am totally stumped by this
ok that more or less eliminates the file as the problem, Only other thing I can think of at the moment is lightburn and the usb port are at different baud rates may be. It really sounds like LB is waiting for an ACK signal from the laser but not getting or recognising it.
LB - Edit/device settings - Bottom Right
Windows - Device Manger/Ports - Right click com port with driver select Properties/Device settings Top number.
I don’t have a mac.
hello, thank you for that. checked and everything seems to match ok.
as a longshot i tried connecting my old laptop which is installed with lightburn version 15, and this runs perfectly so could the problem be with the latest update ? this is really frustrating i am having to run my work on my old A20 which i was retiring as it is long overdue for an overhaul as it is getting very tired and needs all new belts and rollers etc .
