When I use the otherwise useless Atomstack Maker, the motion from the laser is smooth and fast. However when using Lightburn the motion is stuttery and it’s like there’s a small buffer each time. Burn, fill buffer, burn, fill buffer.
The same is true for framing … it works badly in LB but in Atomstack Maker it’s smooth and … works.
I can help somewhat with Wireshark and USBPcap or other debug tools if necessary, just tell me what is needed
I’m not seeing the Atomstack M4 Pro in the equipment database at LightBurn.
I saw in your profile that you’ve indicated BSL. Is the stuttering behavior happening under BSL control in LightBurn?
I believe the dev team would be interested in what you’re observing.
Generally, we invite folks to draw a square, the same size and position, in both packages and capture both data streams.
I have no idea how much protection or encryption is built into the BSL system. It may not be something you or I could read and make sense of but I’d be happy to pass the captures along to the dev team.
Generally, Wireshark is seen as the tool of preference.
Looking forward to finding out what gets discovered.
Thank you for volunteering and thanks in advance for your efforts!
