Atomstack Maker R1 not working in lightburn

I cannot get the Atomstack Maker R1 (chuck or roller)to operate at all on my Sculpfun S30 5.5w laser. I finally realized that the instruction booklet gave the wrong info on the correct cable to use but even with the cable issue sorted neither the roller unit or the chuck will respond to commands properly. I’m thinking I need to change some of the console values but I can’t seem to find list of all the “$” commands.

What do you mean by respond properly? Does it just stutter? Or doesn’t it move at all?

If it stutters, the cable is not correct. You need to change the pin order of the connection cable. Detailed information:

It doesnt stutter. When I first connected the roller, per the instruction booklet, I enabled the roller in Lightburn, but when I tried to test it the roller buzzed very loudly and then quit. upon inspection of the cable, I found that the connector on the plug they said to use on “third party” machines was just the opposite of what was shown on the wiring diagram. The cable they showed as the “native” one was in fact wired the correct way for my machine. Now when I press the test button in the rotary setup window, the rollers turn, the glass makes 1 revolution and returns. The laser head moves along the x axis a couple of cm’s and then returns. However, when I hit the framing button I just get this: Starting stream
ALARM:2
G-code motion target exceeds machine travel. Machine position safely retained. Alarm may be unlocked. (Right-click the ‘Devices’ button to reset the connection)
On or near line 2:
Stream completed in 0:00
So thats where I’m at. if I try to just start the job without framing I get: Starting stream
Layer line
ALARM:2
G-code motion target exceeds machine travel. Machine position safely retained. Alarm may be unlocked. (Right-click the ‘Devices’ button to reset the connection)
On or near line 4:
Job halted
Stream completed in 0:00

Misken,
I did discover a nugget in the wiki you sent me the link to. It suggested that along with other settings that I also disable the “soft limits” $20=0. That now allows me to frame and as soon as I prepare an item, I will attempt to actally laser it. Will let you know. Thanks for your help.
