Atomstack S10 pro limit switch not activating

I have had an issue with the laser running into the rail while homing for some time. I ended up disabling the homing feature in the meantime and I’m noq able to get back to troubleshooting. I’ve tested the switches when moving the laser around and pressing the switch on and off. Nothing happens when I hit the switch and not sure why. Assuming if they were working, the laser would stop when pressed. Is there something in Lightburn that might have disabled the switches? I just updated the firmware today in hopes it would help but no luck.

In basic, no.

You can check the state of the switches by running this command in Console:

?

Try in various states:

  1. No switch activated
  2. X switch activated
  3. Y switch activated
  4. Both switches activated

What are the results?

Can you ‘feel’ or ‘hear’ the switch when you press it?

If you have a voltmeter (ohm meter actually) you can check the home switches for operation…

I don’t know how you ‘disabled’ the switches, but In Lightburn you can change the controller to ignore them via the Machine Settings… but it’s not really Lightburn, it is has to be written to the controller.

But you have to go do that, it’s not something you’d ‘accidentally’ disable.

I have the Atomstack S10. When I first assembled it, the limit switch in the lower left had a wire break off the switch. I had to solder it back on and extend the wire a bit because it was getting in the way. Not real good cable management.
