When I first learned of the Auto Group function, I was elated, I used it and it worked perfectly. But after that one day, I can not seem to get it to work again. Is there a bug? Is it just me, or am I doing something wrong? It is a pretty simple action. When I learned about it, I just selected everything and clicked Auto Group and it grouped everything correctly. Now when I click it, the “marching ants” change as though they are grouped, but they are not. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Ah…I am going to answer my own question and I’ll tell me what I was doing wrong. I was SELECTING all the objects and then hitting Auto Group. That was my problem…Do Not select the items!
