Hi. I was working on a complicated file - and had it all good, then did a cmd-s to save it, and quit. When I opened it, it was as if I’d never touched it. Three missing layers, all my drafted artwork gone. Is there any way at all that I can snag one of the later auto-save files, to try to at least recover some of my effort. I have no idea why my work has vanished - but it’s so depressing. Thanks
Unfortunately the auto-save files are deleted after a successful save. You might be able to use an un-delete tool to recover one, but otherwise it’s not possible. The auto-save is intended to protect you in case of a crash between saves.
OK, thanks for that. Your policy makes perfect sense. Sadly. Drowning, not waving, cheers for fast and friendly help, as usual.
Sorry - I do wish I had better news for you. It might be worth us adding a “keep xx backups” option.
It may be useful, but let’s face it, no developer can provide parachutes for every imaginable eventuality. I am very happy with LB and feel it’s a great piece of software. Maybe one ‘father’ file tucked away may be nice, but like I say, you can’t legislate for every possibility. Thanks again.
