Backup lightburn

i am not the brightest bulb in the pack. can somone tell me how to backup lightburn before i update the program to newest version.

What are you looking to backup? Are you aware that the upgrade can be applied directly on top of the current installation?

I am looking to back up the current version before i update so if something goes wrong i can go back to the previous version.

In that case try this approach:

  1. File->Export Prefs
  2. Save to a file in a personal location not used by LightBurn
  3. Update LightBurn
  4. Check for issues
  5. If issues found then recover by uninstalling/reinstalling LightBurn as necessary and then File->Import Prefs

That is where you can find the previous versions to re-download if you need to.
