Hey there,
This is so weird, am I not sure how to get it right. I think perhaps something else is off in my gantry and that is the real issue.
I center my beam to come out center on the tape after pushing the tape and rubbing it to see the circle. But It doesn’t go out of the lens. I am pretty much alway using the rotary with out the nozzle, so decided to see how it did. Well, it did fine until I realized that it seems to be starting the burn 1/4 inch down from where I start it? What could it be that is causing that? Any help? I am so frustrated and really not sure how to fix it. If I get fire out of the nozzle and then do a test and the beam is not center, what would that mean?
Anyone have this? Thank you!
Hi Sharon, try putting a piece of card on the bed.
Take the nozzle off and lower the laser head onto the card until it makes an imprint on the card, don’t raise it, just give a pulse burn on the card, check for centre.
If it’s only a tiny bit out it won’t fire out the nozzle, it’s a matter of fine adjustments of the laser head mirror.
I’m guessing that’s your issue.
Good luck.
Yeah I let go of the tape and went with the nozzle, certain it would be terrible when I went back to the tape… It wasn’t. I will just use the cone from now on.
