Best Lightburn compatible Laser?

Hello, appreciate your suggestions- pro or con! I’m getting rid of my current laser because it’s not compatible with Lightburn. Looking for the best diode laser in the $2,000 to $3,000 range. Reliability, ease of use, support, features all important. Thank you for your input!!

Opinion: If you’re going to spend that much, get a decent (not K40-ish) CO₂ laser.

If you wish to stick with diodes, take a hard look at the Sculpfun S70 MAX for larger projects and the SF-A9 40w/20w machine for smaller work. I have 3 different Sculpfun machines and can testify they are all 100% compatible with Lightburn.

For the budget you stated, I would get the S30 10w for fine detail work and one of those listed above for the heavy duty stuff..

Small Print: I am a biased user.

Pargal,

The bulk of the machine is its bed the runners, motors.

I would consider putting in anew control board and run grbl with forever support . If this is beyond your ability perhaps a friend who is a electronic geek might help as it really can be straight forward.

This assumes that your machine is mechanically sound ,in which case Ignore my suggestion.

Perhaps give us the model of your current machine?
