Boolean difference request for idiots like myself

I should be able to work it out in my head, but when using boolean difference I constantly choose my shapes backwards. I Then hit undo, select my shapes again and use boolean difference again only to find that I once again chose them in the wrong order. Is there a feature that can reverse the process as in: a hotkey or modified mouse click that lets Lightburn know that it needs to undo the difference and reselect my last two objects in reverse order and then reapply difference.
I know that I will lose time and productivity as I try new features or relearn old ones I haven’t used in some time, but this difference issue is one that I feel I will never get right, and it seems like it could have an easy workaround.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Yes, this is exactly how LightBurn works today. If you do the selection then the difference and the selection order is incorrect, undo and the click the difference button immediately again, without changing the selection, LightBurn understands this key sequence and flips the selection order for you.

The order is A - B (First shape minus second shape). In my head I always recite “I want to take this shape (click) and remove this one from it (click)”. But Rick is correct - the Undo swaps the order so you can click Difference again immediately without redoing the selection and it’ll work.

Thanks everyone! I’ll give Rick’s suggestion a try. Oz, I wish I could remember the order and usually I do, but I find that sometimes I need to click through to even see what effect I’m trying to produce so a quick way to switch the order is needed on my end.

Thanks again

I don’t ever remember the right order, because I use too many different programs, Inkscape included. The Oz feature of automatically swapping the order after an Undo is sheer genius! It makes me lazy but it sure is a great feature.
