Bug - Measure tool window position

Hi again,

I’ve raised this in the past (Measurement tool - remember window position · LightBurn) and it was noted as solved, but it doesn’t seem to be doing what it should.

The ‘measure’ tool pops up it’s dialog in the middle of the workspace, which is usually where the thing needing to be measured is. Moving it off to the side and then closing & reopening the tool puts it back in the middle of the screen.

Any chance this feature could be checked? Maybe it’s just me?

In an ideal world, it just hangs out in a tab in the right hand column of windows - select the measure tool, it pings onto the correct tab automatically, close the tool and it goes back to wherever it was before. But I’d be happy if it just stayed where I left it!

Cheers!

Mine is well trained. It stays where I put it.

Thanks Dskall. Your reply prompted me to do some experimenting, because I thought I was going crazy.

It turns out that this is related to which monitor th measurement dialog is on. I tested several other (single monitor) machines and it was staying put. I checked on my colleagues dual monitor system and his also stayed put.

The reason mine doesn’t work is seems to be that I exclusively run LB on my secondary monitor. If the measurement dialog is on this monitor, it always opens in the middle of the screen. If I move the dialog to the primary monitor, it opens wherever I left it.

If I move LB to the main monitor, and the move the dialog to the second monitor, the next time it opens will be in the centre of the main monitor.
