Every 5-10 times I use command-C on Latest OSX release (2.0.2 at time of writing) Lightburn Crashes. Doesn’t appear to matter what I’m copying.
I’m using Mac OSX Sequoia 15.6 and Lightburn 2.02 and have no trouble with copy and paste. I tried it with copying a shape as well as text. Both were successful. What version of OSX are you using?
Sequoia 15.2
Has happened regularly since v2 of lightburn for me and its inconsistent but regular enough to really hamper usability
Mac OS Sequoia 15.6 and Lightburn 2.0.02 here, on Macbook Pro. All day yesterday design, also intensive with copy - paste, no crashes of LB here.
Checking with the rest of the team, but have not seen reports of this behavior previously. I am driving several Macs with different OS versions for testing and have not experienced issues with Copy & Paste via hotkeys.
What else can you share? Any additional apps running?
Will continue to investigate on our end, but please let us know if you find reproducible steps. ![]()
Do you get a crash report you can include / forward? That would help a lot.
Unfortunately no. Its a hard crash now. Everything just vanishes. Once or twice early on it gave me the ol option to “reopen” or “ignore” after the crash but its not doing that anymore. Will give it the ol reboot and see if things continue. Will keep trying to reproduce.
Finally got an error report after restart.
Ok, this looks to be related to text shapes being copied, and, as specifically as I can tell so far:
- You have shapes that you’ve copied onto the clipboard that include some text objects
- You go to copy something else and it clears the clipboard
- Those previous shapes on the clipboard are copies are deleted
- Deleting the text shapes is what’s crashing for some reason
Does that jog anything in your head about what you were doing or how I might get this to happen locally? If I can reproduce the crash somewhat reliably, I can fix it.
