I’m having issues with this laser cutter. I’m cutting a clockmaking wooden piece using 5.5 mm MDF material. It seems the heat is burning the corners/tips of the cuts.
Is there any way to reduce the laser power when the laser changes direction at the corners? I think the machine slows down at those points and burns the material.
I’m using the latest version of LightBurn with a Creality Falcon 2 laser cutter.

Did you set your Laser device as plain GRBL?
Also did you changed any GRBL settings?
You can post your Laser device for us to check:
In addition to everything already mentioned, I’m leaving this link in the Lightburn documentation which I think has information related to the problem you’re reporting.
I tested a partial cut of the piece by making three passes (three sublayers) at a speed of 1850 mm/min and 82.50% power. In the photo, I’ve superimposed the newly cut piece over the fully cut parts. The new cut shows no burnt edges, unlike the previously cut piece shown in the background.
I may still fine-tune the speed and power settings a bit further, but the result is already so good that I couldn’t wait to share it with you, mark the issue as resolved, and thank you for the prompt support you provided.
