The png image is the original logo I am working with. My customer wants it on wood, on slate and on glass. My wood version turned out acceptable (not cleaned up etc)
However I am running into a problem with Slate and I am not sure I know how to fix it so would appreciate some assistance with this one My First attempt on slate looks ok but negative on the lady in the center
The lady and the text look ok but the rest of the image is gone. Is this a 2 pass situation where in one pass I would do the lady and text …2nd pass would do everything else? A problem here is that this is not in layers it is a single layer image. Any suggestions to make this work (I hope the suggestions work on glass as well) …
Thanks,
Ron
Those little fleur de lis’s around the outside can be a problem. Maybe add a .001mm offset Shape around the outside. That will flip the light and dark areas, so you may have to turn off the negative thing.
If that does not work, upload your .lbrn2 file so the Gurus can experiment on it. There are guys much better at this than I am.
My first try would be Trace and delete all unwanted and make sure shapes are closed…be real fancy to do an Inward Offset-Shapes and have inside slightly raised.
Also as MikeyH says Offset-Shapes works and both may require some Node work.
Hi Mikey, oddly enough the fleur del lis around the outer edge came out useable for my purposes on the slate - but I will give the outline a test … Thank You!
Got The slate done Thank You for all the feedback it was and is appreciated. Now I need to put this onto a GlenCairn Glass… and I cannot do an image on the glass it seems so I must trace it - it comes out terrible
