ok so I experimented with printing both sides, yes I missed a little on alignment but wasn’t too concerned cause it’s just trial, I did mirror horizontal but it also burned in reverse, how would you set it up to burn the same image?
ok think I found the solution by turning on invert in the preview, will have to try again
that didn’t work
For your example I will make a template with a front and a back. A little extra material is needed, but the result justifies it.
Otherwise, there is not much rocket science over it, I use the “technique” fairly often.
For round parts, I make, if possible, 3 reference marks in the design which must match the referring marks in the template. The most important thing is that your project is symmetrical and you make a reasonably stable template. (for round parts)
A good way to practice this is to use acrylic, here there is no pardon for misalignment.
alignment isn’t my issue, burning opposite lines is, like one side burned inside lines the other burned outside lines of the image
Then it must be reverse I think, and not “just” mirroring.
Upload the file here and we will look into it.

I burned the original then did mirror image for the backside and deleted the original image
As I have written before, when it is not symmetrical you need to make two cuts for the template, front and back. You mirror the other and swap the two cut-out parts in the template.

Pardon my ignorance, I am very new to this but making the front and back template is where I get lost, how do you make the back template?
Not sure how you’re doing but this should be 2 steps:
- Duplicate original (Edit->Duplicate)
- Flip copy (Arrange->Flip Horizontal)
