I want to place a circle inside a star. I want to fill the star but not circle. How do I set up to do this?
Duplicate one or the other to get what you want.
Did not have a star, so I used a pentagon…

You want to Fill, right?
Just put the circle and star on the same layer and select both at once. LB fills inside the star as a solid region, but removes any additional solid regions inside that are negative regions that it will NOT fill.
All Fills must be a closed path.
If you have “Filled Rendering” set in the setup, the region will appear filled on screen, but this can obscure things you want to see. You can use the Preview window to see what it’s going to Fill.
