I have uploaded the trial version some time ago and need to buy the activation. The issue I am having is that the e-mail that I used to do the trial is no longer available to access the registered account.
It is fine. It is not required, you can start anew from the store. When you are ready, you can just start a new account, using an email address that is consistent. You will use that address for further purchases as needed, along with accessing the license management site to control your allocation of seats.
