Camera Alignment of different size material

Quick question… when you focus and align camera perfectly to using 3mm material and perfect focal distance…. Is this alignment good for 5 mm / 6 mm material or bigger stuff like a brick that requires lowering of bed…. Asking for someone because mine seems really accurate

As long as your focus point is the same to the surface, there is no difference, ie, if you calibrate your camera to the surface of 2mm (in relation to your focal length), and you subsequently engrave 10mm thick material, then you just lower your machine bed to same focus point - the distance to your camera also stays the same.
It’s something different with diode lasers, if you adjust your focus point by adjusting the laser head, then all of a sudden you have 8mm less distance to your camera with the associated error perspective of your camera.
