The camera lens became loose. Unscrewed from the card. Screwed it back into the card. Now It does not work at all. It still shows up in the drop-down menu for choice of camera, but when I hit update there is no image at all.
The camera sensor/chip is what I’d consider to be relatively fragile. I can’t recall what I did to cause a failure, but managed to damage the chip in such a way as to have no image. The same circumstances as you describe, the entry shows, but that’s because the USB interface circuitry is not affected by a dead sensor. It doesn’t look good for you at this point.
