Good Afternoon from Spain.
I am in a new build process and am getting to the point now of near completion and want to be able to use a camera with my C02 Laser.
My useable bed size is 1 metre by 94 cms and the camera can be mounted exactly above the middle of this rectangle with 50 cms below the lens to the surface of the bed. Alternatively I can offset the camera to front of centre and that will allow me to go higher with some possible vignetting to the lens at the back half.
I would like high detail imagery as I want to carry out some very fine and small lettering on small pieces at times but I am not sure what is the best lens to go for over-all so I can have these fine details over most of that bed size.
Does anyone have a views on the best lens to go for please and or any imagery and details of the lens or camera used so I can take a peek be it LB or third party options.
Secondly do Lightburn still tweak the camera so that it produces the best rez viz a vie, lens, megapixels, aspect ratio as I seem to remember in the past that Lightburn suggested that you had to use their camera because of a problem in Windows reducing the quality somewhere on a non LB camera , cant remember exactly.
I see now that Lightburn do a higg rez camera ( out of stock in both 85º and 120º) which was not an option before but I am thinking of going for a larger sensor size and better glass rather than that is in the LB store to get the absolute best quality I can if that problem of quality now no longer exists with non LB cameras.
I have already used the LB Camera lens Help in Lightburn to check the heights etc but just not sure on the lens selection.
Does anyone please have any views on this subject, used different cameras etc ?
Many thanks
