Camera Overlay Issues Again

I had it working normally then after I detached the camera window to another screen area, now it no longer will “Overlay” the main editing area. I tried numerous times to get it back to the original placement using the reset window layout function, but it will not go back. After messing with standard and custom camera types, closing and restarting LB several times, I got the arrangement back to the normal. However, it refuses to overlay the image. I then tried the camera alignment again, even though it was just aligned shortly before, this got it to overlay, once. Even then, the alignment was off in the Y axis about .25 inch even though the alignment was on the spot.
So there appears to be a bug in the software along with the actual alignment vs the visual and resulting burn/cut/engrave locations. If anyone has any ideas, please tell me.

Additional: I got the overlay to work, after re-aligning the camera again. Then I discovered that for the overlay function to work, its necessary for the image to have changed, even just a little, thereby inducing the overlay function to be allowed. I still find that the overlay image vs the burn location is off by X-2.5 and Y-3.0 so something isn’t quite right. It could be that the camera alignment doesn’t properly support the “8MP LB_CAM-4KN-120” camera yet therefore forcing me to use a different model of camera for the proper alignment. Not sure what the issue is.

Before changing anything you could try Import Camera Settings:

What do you import?is there a file available somewhere?

I’ve seen that but this moment, I can’t find it.

Trying again this morning, I found that yesterday’s camera alignment settings don’t agree with today’s burns. So, I realigned the camera once more, re-aligned the camera pattern and burned again, only to discover the previous camera offsets or what appears to be offsets, now has the burn locations way off. So I manually zero those “offsets”, re-burn the same test lines and now they are spot on! So, it appears each day, its different even though I changed nothing with the equipment, placement, alignment of everything. I only see the single option to save the camera settings and so far, still can’t find the option to export them, even though I have previously “seen” that option. Its possible of course that this last updated software removed that function.

To export/import your camera settings, you must right click on the camera control tab:

So I discovered one minor but possibly major issue that could be causing the camera alignment issues I’ve been having. Therefore to share with everyone here, I have the LB 4K camera and the exact number escapes me this second. Anyway, it also has the LB camera holder. I found that the camera holder was not as tight as I thought it was, therefore whenever I put everything together to use, out of temporary storage mode, the camera was not going back into its original place within the holder. Its a minor difference but it made enough difference to throw things off. Just fyi, when I’m not using the cutter, due space limitations, I have to pull it all apart and put things away. Next use, put it all together again. Yes, the table for it, I’ve drilled alignment holes and use alignment pins to reset things back into the exact same places and that includes my fabricated camera/light bars. Camera/lights, cutter, cutting base and air feed are all attached to the base as an “assembly”. Ideally, each time I put it all together, it should be in the same exact positions. Alignment pins are close-tolerance. Someday, lol, I’ll be able to have my own shop to keep it together in.
