I have a Gweike Cloud Pro CO2 laser, which I operate via Lightburn.
I’ve been using this setup for a few months now, but I suddenly started experiencing issues today.
Everything was working fine at first, but in between jobs, the “set distance” field suddenly turned grey and now I can no longer enter any values.
The machine requires me to manually set the distance for every job (17mm minus the material thickness), but all of a sudden it’s set to a default 13mm and I am no longer able to make any adjustments.
The machine is connected and its status listed as “ready”, I can move the laser module via the arrow buttons in the control panel, so it’s definitely connected, I simply can no longer enter the required values.
I’ve always had continuous jog activated (it was activated by default and never interfered with my settings, so I never bothered to deactivate it in the past), and I tried deactivating it earlier, which didn’t change anything. After a couple of re-starts, and de-activating CJ each time, things are now back to normal. I think it may have been a glitch that allowed the setting to work with continuous jog activated in the first place
