Can only engrave in upper left hand corner of laser bed

I have a K40 laser running Mini Gerbil v3 (MG3) - 2 axis controller, and everything was working perfect. Then I downloaded the OMtech test print program to run on the K40 to compare to my new OMtech Polar . Now the K40 only wants to etch/cut in the upper left hand corner. I can draw a box in the lower right hand corner and hit frame or run and it will cut in the upper left hand corner. I can’t figure out why running the OMtech program on the K40 would cause this issue, or how to fix it. I have deleted and re-installed Lightburn twice and still have the same issue. Help Please

Can you link to what this is?

Do the dimensions of the printed shapes match what’s in workspace or are they distorted?

Are you able to jog to all corners of the machine?

Can you run these commands in Console one at a time and then return all output?

From this web site Software Download – OMTech Laser I downloaded the OMTech’s Material Test Card: And ran it on my K40 laser. This is the controller on my K40 Mini Gerbil v3 (MG3) – 2 axis controller for K40 laser cutter – AwesomeTech. Now the K40 only wants to laser in the upper left hand corner.
When I enter $H the machine homes to the upper left hand corner like it always did.

I loaded Lightburn on another computer and connected the K40 and still have the same issue. Suggestions?? Thanks Dave…

I don’t see any reason why the material test card would make any difference to what you’re seeing so it may only be a coincidence.

I don’t see anything obvious in the Console output that would also cause this.

There were a couple of questions you didn’t address:

  1. Are printed dimensions of shapes correct?
  2. Are you able to jog to all corners of the machine?

Additionally, can you take a full screenshot of LightBurn and the resulting burn that shows the issue that you’re having?
