So I bought the atom stack A5 Pro + and cannot get it to engrave or cut. It’s like the laser isn’t even on. It traces the image, but nothing shows up. I have 100% power, output is on but nothing… any suggestions. Also I cannot find the cut parameters in light burn?!
Cut parameters are in the Cuts / Layers window.
The engrave speed and the units (mm/min) are the common troubleshooting pitfall.
In the top row in LightBurn click Window, then wheel down to Cuts / Layers.
Verify that Cuts / Layers has a check mark beside it - if not, click it so it does and the window pops up.
When you start a new project with one of the drawing tools, or import an image into LightBurn a layer will be assigned. In the Cuts / Layers window double click on the layer you’re working in and a pop up window will open. Please capture that with a screen capture or snip tool - and post that image here - that may be the fastest way to verify the initial settings.
Some laser modules have their own power supply and a power switch that’s hidden on the laser module itself.
The laser module is equipped with a cooling fan - Is the cooling fan running? Is there a light on the laser module indicating power?
1500 mm/min looks reasonable and the blue dot should be fairly obvious at 100%
Right click the engraving job in the work area and select Show Properties - a window called Shape Properties pops up. There is an adjustable Power Scale there which is a percentage of the 100% selected in the Cuts / Layers window.
I’d just like to make sure that’s not zero.
In the Console window I saw that you had requested the report from $$.
Would you mind confirming the value assigned to $30 number.
Copy and Paste avoids typos / transcription errors and the tricky decimal points that are rarely added.
I’m hoping we see the final hurdle in the next reply.
