I use inch for my units and it is reading ex: 4.1 and 4.5 etc. Can the unit numbers be changed.
By “inch”, do you mean with fractions? I cannot figure out what you mean.
It changes as you zoom in and out. And change grid spacing.
I am sure I am not explaining this right…forget x and y axis. Around the work grid are numbers like on the frame of my laser. I want to know if in my workspace the numbers can be changed?

I am not at my machine, but I think those numbers change depending on the size of your grid squares. Did you notice the coordinates at the bottom of the screen changing as you move the mouse around? Maybe this will give you the positioning detail you need.
Also, the scale labeling changes as you zoom in or out.
You can easily switch between mm and inch with this toggle button. I use this one a lot, although I work mostly in mm.
