Cannot assign or use hotkeys for color palette

Hello,

I have an issue with using hotkeys for assigning colors (C00, C01, etc.) in LightBurn.

I cannot get any shortcuts to work for changing layer colors.

What I tried:

  • assigning shortcuts like Ctrl+7, Alt+1, etc.

  • selecting objects before pressing the keys

  • testing both number row and numpad

The shortcuts are accepted in the Hotkey Editor, but when I press them, nothing happens.

Questions:

What is the correct way to assign working shortcuts for layer colors?

I really need a reliable way to quickly assign colors to layers.

Thank you!

Windows has so many predefined shortcuts that it’s likely capturing those keystrokes and not passing them to LightBurn.

A casual look at the Microsoft shortcut list says Ctrl+digit combinations move through dialog box tabs.

Unless there’s a way to remove the existing system-level keyboard shortcuts, LightBurn won’t get them.

I can assign and use Ctrl + 0-9 to quickly assign selected shapes to the layers on Windows 11. Worked with both the number row and numpad.

Which Windows version are you on?

I had to clear two already used shortcuts to assign 0-9 to all the layers.
You can change the fileending of this file to .lbhk and import it.
