Cannot connect to Lightburn?

My first post but at a complete loss. I cannot connect between laser and windows laptop. I have tried as many suggestions posted here but just at a complete loss now.

My Machine: Ruida RD6445G DIY build with Reci 80W

In all cases:
Machine connection worked with RDWORKS previously and new install of Lightburn
• Lightburn re-installed and DSP etc installed as well.
• Lightburn says “THERE WAS A PROBLEM SENDING DATA TO THE LASER, THE MACHINE MAY BE BUSY OR PAUSED”
• Icon on controller shows as connected with 2 mini screens
• Checked all connections
• Presses Esc etc to make sure controller is back to ‘home’ page
• Took settings for IP etc from Ip config /all etc

Ethernet Cable between controller and PC
• Cable is not faulty as checked;
• Used Ethernet port on back of controller as well as front

Wireless using Ethernet to TPlink extender (then this is wireless)
• Assigned IP address as suggested
• No Gateway on screen to enter?
• Wifi is working for other items

USB
• No connection

ANY suggestions welcome. Would it help if I used a Lightburn Bridge?

The bridge has a layer of software that helps with the UDP communications with the bridge… I’ve reduced problems with the bridge…

Before the bridge, I used a t-link bridge, much like you describe…

Usually you don’t have to give it a gateway, it’s the only thing on the lan from the bridge… The Ruida doesn’t ask for an ip from the gateway, just give it a unique ip on your lan.
