Can't connect with version 1.0

hello all, just upgraded to version 10.0, , windows 7 on a laptop, omtech 50 with ruida controller , usb cable,
lightburn says laser disconnected and will not find device, on check controller message is " problem communicating with controller". on the laptop the usb ports for the lightburn camera and laser are recognized . tried reinstalling with fti driver option and no change . have read a bunch of posts and the faq , i am out of ideas. can anyone help? thanks

i thought this was the avenue for support ?i guess i will email lightburn

Can you choose the specific port for the laser here?

Does that work?

It just says (auto)

thanks for helping! the only option is ( auto) right clicking does not bring up anything else , even if i manually add my laser as “ruida” this all i get.

don’t know if this is helpful or i did it right but here is the support log data for trying to add device

I am having the same issue here with mine, after making the update on the software

You have not told us much about the system or setup of your laser, and don’t list it in your profile. Your public entry looks like this:

I fixed the profile. So I have a Orion Tech 602, controller is Ruida 644XG withLB firmware 1.0. Sinse I did the update of the firmware when I send something to score it wont do it.

If you made a backup of these firmware settings, you should be able to downgrade the firmware back to the previously working firmware version to confirm the issue is firmware related.

i fixed the issue! in the device manager i had to rollback the driver

I have the Mini-GRBL for my K40. I was having issues connecting using the previous GRBL that I was using on 9.20. I reached out to Awesome Tech (Mini-GRBL) and they said to use GRBL-STM and I did and soon as changed it to STM it connected right away.

That’s because the GRBL-STM driver knows that you need the ‘Enable DTR signal’ setting enabled, whereas normal ‘GRBL’ doesn’t know that. If you used normal GRBL and enabled that flag, it also works.

I did not know that. Thanks
