Can't delete part of imported SVG

I’m trying to use a preexisting SVG and just cleanup what Lightburn picks up, but on a written font there is ONE part I can’t delete. It brought them in for every spot where letters touch and I was able to ungroup and delete all of them except this one. For some reason it won’t see them as sperate segments the way it did for everything else. Does anyone have a suggestion how to get rid of this before I have to sub it out to someone and pay for it? It’s that part that looks like a circle between the “E” and the “R”.There is no option to ungroup as I’ve already ungrouped everything on that layer. Please help! I need to get this done as soon as I can.

if you are unable to resolve the problem, consider to attach the lbrn file so others can examine it and provide additional insight.

The “circle” is formed by the overlapping ends of the “e” and “r” strokes. Because there’s no circle, you can’t delete it.

The solution is to just mash the strokes together, using either @JimNM’s suggestion of Boolean Union or the Weld tool. There are slight differences, but both should produce the same results here.
