I have a few laser cutters / engravers, including a DYI machine where I successfully ran the trial version of Lightburn. This was so gratifying that I decided to replace the controller on my K40-like machine, which uses its own sw that only runs on Windows 7 and with a dongle plugged into the computer’s USB port. My issue is that I can’t figure out which controller I have and I believe that should be the first step in order to decide what to replace it with (I’ve looked in lasergods.com, for example but could not find a match). I’m new to the Forum so I can’t post any pictures yet but I will, as soon as I am allowed. What I really want is to be able to drive my machine from Lightburn and, from what I’ve read online, even the MKS DLC32 controller I used on my DYI machine would probably do the trick. I don’t want to start taking my K40 apart before I learn more, though. Any suggestions / recommendations will be grreatly appreciated.
Don’t know CO2 lasers, but does this help?
