Can't mask an image?

What could be the reason why I can’t mask an image? I took an image, marked it with closed lines from beginning to end, and the image cannot be cut according to the lines, but when I try to draw just a circle, I can mask it. I would appreciate help.

Did you use line tool?
How do you know it was closed?
Did you select both?

Because When I press the line all the shape is selected with Dashed line

When you select fill what happens?

I guess your lines are not closed. Did you check that? Set it to fill, for example.

Your shape is not closed, as we suspected already:

You can check this by using Edit → Select open Shapes. It directly selects the shape. You can either manually close it or let LB do it. The functions are also in the Edit menu.

Thanks, this function is in all the version?

Yes. You can also use the node edit mode and drag the nodes together. They will close automatically.

Some tools only recognize predefined shapes (e.g., ellipse, rectangle) as valid masks, while freehand paths often need to be explicitly converted before they can be used. If the start and end points of your path are not fully connected, the software may not treat it as a closed shape. I would suggest checking whether there is an option to “close path” or “convert path to selection” before applying the mask. This usually resolves the issue.
